Who exactly is Lombardi?

This is a very good question, often asked by many! So, without further ado, let's shed a light on this mysterious figure..

'Lombardi' (the name which is a play on words relating to a district in Milan, or 'Milano' in Italy - namely 'Lombardy' - perceived as one of the origins of the much-loved sound of this beloved musical genre in the UK) is none other than UK based DJ from Halifax in West Yorkshire - Dannie Kavanagh, a DJ, pianist, and performing artist who, over three decades has specialised in playing lots of Italian 'Italo' House in his sets.

Over the years, Dannie or 'DK' has not only played Italian House, but as a pianist, he's also produced, co-produced, written, and provided session compositions for many a client including fellow Italian House fanatics, chart-topping artists, and even the labels themselves from that era! - all under the alias 'Lombardi'

So if you see a remix online, or a record out there with that name featured on it, or that iconic logo, you now know who it is!

In recent years however, He's now gone solo, and using the many years of enjoying this uplifting style of dance music for other people, now produces and performs his own material, hence the birth of this website. This is the only source of his work, so feel free to browse the store, check out many remixes he's created over the years, and if you're really dedicated - buy some of his tracks - it all goes towards his ever-expanding collection of pianos!

Enjoy the site, thank you for visiting, but most importantly, enjoy the music, but remember - if you're new to Italian House, be careful, it's very addictive!
